Reinterpretations

An alternative take on classic treats...and meats.

Newman's Own version of the Oreo cookie, Newman-O's. The classic treat, that features more cocoa flavor than sweetness (with no high-fructose corn syrup), it's (mostly) organic, and all profits go to charity...it's clearly superior to the original incarnation.

Fig Bites made with Turkish figs. A healthier, more satisfying version of the Fig Newton brought to you by the always welcoming, Trader Joe's

Here's a rarity...a veggie burger that's moist AND dense. The Beast Burger, brought to you by Beyond Meat, is made from pea protein. A welcome departure from the black bean and soy options that currently dominate the market.

Finally, a long-time favorite of mine by WestSoy. Seitan is high in protein, low in fat, and has great density & texture. It easily replaces any meat...try using seitan in a Philly CheeseSteak or Shepherd's Pie.
